Camp Out At The Ohio River Valley Folk Festival
The city of Madison, Indiana has decided to allow camping at the Ohio River Folk Festival, so get out your camping cots and get ready for some fun! The Board of Public Works and Safety decided in a vote Monday to allow the festival to rent camping spaces, delighting area residents who plan to attend the annual festival.
There will be portable toilets for campers and those who purchase wristbands for the Festival, and the wristbands will come with coupons for free food and beverages, but the truly comfortable will be those who remembered to bring along their portable cots or folding cots. Remember, the Festival lasts two days, so if you don't have a good place to park your keister, you might miss out on some fun.
This year's Festival will include musicians like Tom Paxton, Chris Smither, John Gorka, Greg Ziesemer and Kriss Luckett, Red Molly, Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band and James McMurtry. I haven't heard of some of them, but I've heard they're really popular with people who own a travel cot.
